Sofie/Sofia

I sculpted Sofie, or Sofia, from premium muslin and papier mache. She is stuffed with Vermont wool, is handpainted, and her dress is handmade from repurposed human clothing.

Soooo evocative of sweet dream imaginings....: )

Update:

I really loved Sofie the way she was, but I hadn't taken her painted facial features ~especially her eyes, as far as I wanted to. I loved the simplicity and naivety of them, but knew that making them more dimensional might enhance her character.
